النَّبَإِ
An-Naba · Juz 30 · Page 582

النَّبَإِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
◆
١
عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ١
About what are they asking one another?
٢
عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ٢
About the great news -
٣
ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ٣
That over which they are in disagreement.
٤
كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ٤
No! They are going to know.
٥
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ٥
Then, no! They are going to know.
٦
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِهَـٰدًا٦
Have We not made the earth a resting place?
٧
وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا٧
And the mountains as stakes?
٨
وَخَلَقْنَـٰكُمْ أَزْوَٲجًا٨
And We created you in pairs
٩
وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا٩
And made your sleep [a means for] rest
١٠
وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا١٠
And made the night as clothing
١١
وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا١١
And made the day for livelihood
١٢
وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا١٢
And constructed above you seven strong [heavens]
١٣
وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا١٣
And made [therein] a burning lamp
١٤
وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُعْصِرَٲتِ مَآءً ثَجَّاجًا١٤
And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water
١٥
لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا١٥
That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation
١٦
وَجَنَّـٰتٍ أَلْفَافًا١٦
And gardens of entwined growth.
١٧
إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَـٰتًا١٧
Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time -
١٨
يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًا١٨
The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes
١٩
وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَٲبًا١٩
And the heaven is opened and will become gateways
٢٠
وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا٢٠
And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage.
٢١
إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا٢١
Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait
٢٢
لِّلطَّـٰغِينَ مَـَٔـابًا٢٢
For the transgressors, a place of return,
٢٣
لَّـٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحْقَابًا٢٣
In which they will remain for ages [unending].
٢٤
لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا٢٤
They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink
٢٥
إِلَّا حَمِيمًا وَغَسَّاقًا٢٥
Except scalding water and [foul] purulence -
٢٦
جَزَآءً وِفَاقًا٢٦
An appropriate recompense.
٢٧
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًا٢٧
Indeed, they were not expecting an account
٢٨
وَكَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِنَا كِذَّابًا٢٨
And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial.
٢٩
وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ كِتَـٰبًا٢٩
But all things We have enumerated in writing.
٣٠
فَذُوقُواْ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا٣٠
"So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment."
