Al-Muddaththir · Juz 29 · Page 577

٤٨
فَمَا تَنفَعُهُمْ شَفَـٰعَةُ ٱلشَّـٰفِعِينَ٤٨
So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors.
٤٩
فَمَا لَهُمْ عَنِ ٱلتَّذْكِرَةِ مُعْرِضِينَ٤٩
Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away
٥٠
كَأَنَّهُمْ حُمُرٌ مُّسْتَنفِرَةٌ٥٠
As if they were alarmed donkeys
٥١
فَرَّتْ مِن قَسْوَرَةِۭ٥١
Fleeing from a lion?
٥٢
بَلْ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ ٱمْرِىٍٕ مِّنْهُمْ أَن يُؤْتَىٰ صُحُفًا مُّنَشَّرَةً٥٢
Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about.
٥٣
كَلَّاۖ بَل لَّا يَخَافُونَ ٱلْأَخِرَةَ٥٣
No! But they do not fear the Hereafter.
٥٤
كَلَّآ إِنَّهُۥ تَذْكِرَةٌ٥٤
No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder
٥٥
فَمَن شَآءَ ذَكَرَهُۥ٥٥
Then whoever wills will remember it.
٥٦
وَمَا يَذْكُرُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ هُوَ أَهْلُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ وَأَهْلُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ٥٦
And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness.
◆
القِيَامَةِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
◆
١
لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ١
I swear by the Day of Resurrection
٢
وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلنَّفْسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ٢
And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection].
٣
أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ٣
Does man think that We will not assemble his bones?
٤
بَلَىٰ قَـٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُۥ٤
Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips.
٥
بَلْ يُرِيدُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ٥
But man desires to continue in sin.
٦
يَسْــَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ٦
He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?"
٧
فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلْبَصَرُ٧
So when vision is dazzled
٨
وَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ٨
And the moon darkens
٩
وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ٩
And the sun and the moon are joined,
١٠
يَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ ٱلْمَفَرُّ١٠
Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?"
١١
كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ١١
No! There is no refuge.
١٢
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ١٢
To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence.
١٣
يُنَبَّؤُاْ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ يَوْمَئِذِۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ١٣
Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back.
١٤
بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌ١٤
Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness,
١٥
وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ١٥
Even if he presents his excuses.
١٦
لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِۦٓ١٦
Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an.
١٧
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُۥ وَقُرْءَانَهُۥ١٧
Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation.
١٨
فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَـٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعْ قُرْءَانَهُۥ١٨
So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation.
١٩
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُۥ١٩
Then upon Us is its clarification [to you].
